Merry Christmas

Post by mikeyr »

I know this forum is dead but I do see some traffic every day, so Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you have a great New Year.

I for one, hope my new year will be better car wise...had to go to France 3 times so far this year to take care of elderly parent, I was there a total of 4 months not allowing much work on the car and I know I will be going again soon. But there HAS BEEN progress on the car !!! that is the good part.

Peter, I must admit my retirement has not been all Singer, but things are settling down in France. Got a retirement home planned out for when the day comes, got all legal stuff done with attorney and hopefully I only have to go for fun this coming year. I played in garage ALL day prepping and moving stuff around to work on the Singer again.

And Bob, its not very active anymore, but it is a treasure trove full of good information, I am keeping it running just for that.

Mike, appreciate your response. Maybe you or Peter can help me with who to contact to pay membership fee to for the NASOC club?
Also I’ve had some luck connecting with Phillip Avis and David Kellogg-Achin. Phillip has located a ‘48 Series A (Paul B.’s car) that could be for sale. The ‘48 is pretty. I’d like to find a Series 4ADT (specifically RHD with trafficators).

BTW: I retired ~21 months ago and loving it. Just need a Singer to drive around and take to shows. 😎

Hi, Happy New Year to everyone. I have been checking the pre war section occasionally and was surprised that no one was posting. Thank you Mike for keeping it going in this section. As you say there is a host of knowledge here that I am grateful to have used over the last year.
Unfortunately, I have not been able to do much on my Senior over last couple of months due illness and freezing cold in garage.
I relined the clutch October and then had to leave her up on stands with prop shaft half connected when condition got to bad.
I must now get back to it and finish the job ready for a glorious summer.
