Happy New Year

Well another year has come and gone, usually I say "where has the time gone, if flew by so fast" but not this year. This year I am saying "wow, glad that year is over with".

With the economy and everything else going wrong, it might not be politically correct but I for one am looking forward to the New Year and new start on life. So what is everyone's New Years plans ?

Mine are finish unpacking and get Pim's parts sent off to him that I promised a long time ago, then enjoy the rest of the year. I plan on going sailing A LOT this year, might even get a new motorcycle going to try a Ducati this time but Victory is calling my name as usual (loved my Vic), get my garage finished (Final inspection is scheduled for Jan 16) . Going to drive my Dino A LOT more this year, I only drove it twice this past year which is odd for a car that normally is my daily driver. Going to rebuild my fire wood pizza oven since the new house does not have one and I am going through withdrawals. But the big one for me is that I pledge to work in my garage at least a little bit every week, going to try for one or 2 evenings a week and one full weekend a month. That is about what I used to do when I split the time between boats, motorcycles and Singer's and its time again. My poor Singer's have had NO and I mean NO progress in over a year.

So what is yours ?

HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! you made it to another new year so celebrate !!!

Hey Mike

Good to see you're alive and well down there.

Unfortunately not much progress here in the great white. Combination of too much rain (this summer) and too much work. I'm going to have to hire a few more people so I can work on my cars.

Happy New Year everyone!

I share much of the sentiments that Mike & Peter point out - Too much work makes for too little time for the rest (family, friends, cars, etc.) My personal goal for 2009 is to have the Super Ten legally roadworthy. I mam close... very close. A wobbly steering is the culprit, but a new nut (thanks to eBay) should do the job. Of course to get that done I would need to clear out some space in the garage... no mean feat. Which brings me to resolution #2: Get rid of the clutter in the house/garage. Again, no mean feat. I inherited my Mother's clutter-gene and am considering gene therapy (or a good psychologist).

The most important thing is that we are all here, and that although we can not predict what will happen, we can always try for the best, and what better way than in company of friends and like--minded enthusiasts!

Tally ho!!

Paul

PS - Mike, a Singer Goal for 2009 is to see a West-Coast show... so if this happens you may have a visitor for some pizza!
