CRAP...Cracked Cylinder head

Post by ggvette »

I cannot believe it...the machine shop has found several small cracks around the vale seats of my 53 4ADT.
At least one extends into the water jacket and is, in their opinion, unrepairable.

I suppose I should have checked this out before moving my restoration project along to this point....

What to do...I do not expect to be able to find another head.

I appreciate any suggestions. I think I need a beer..... :(

Grant,

I would have certainly said a few more 4-letter words, but thanks for using that one on the site.

A 4ADT head will be a tough one. A few brave souls are heading out to the UK in a couple of weeks and will spread the word there... in the mean time, anyone out there with some advice/parts for Grant??

DAVE IS THE MAN!!!

Lest we forget that he is the NASOC Parts guy and a good one to check with first before enduring the high price of shipping from overseas.
