Armstrong Shock Absorber fluid

Post by wmcvey »

Will this oil I found on the Moss Motor site work just fine ?
https://mossmotors.com/shock-absorber-oil-16-oz
And how many oz of oil per unit will it take to fill it from empty ?

That's the stuff, the Roadster has Armstrong rear dampers. I don't know the amount per damper, and the Motor Trader Service Guide just says to "top up the dampers", but 16oz should easily be enough for both. It's been several years since I topped mine up (after a rebuild) but I remember it as very intuitive to do so.

Thanks for the reply, just ordered two bottles. Not sure if each side takes more then 8oz, so just in case got two.
