Hi All,

Since early in the year I've been in on-going discussions with Mike Gaetano of the British Invasion about the expectation for an event in the fall of 2021. This would be the canceled 30th Anniversary event with Singer as a Featured Marque.

Everything has been based on the COVID restrictions and Mike has been clear that the decision rests with the State of Vermont and the town of Stowe to lift or manage restrictions. When we last spoke, Mike had over 100 participants pre-registered in spite of not having a commitment from the authorities.

Well...there is now good news! Mike has sent out the official invitation so it would seem at that the red tape has been cleared!

Here's Mike's message:

Invitation to British Invasion “XXX”

We hope that our message finds you and your family members healthy and looking forward to joining fellow British Motoring Enthusiasts on the weekend of the second Saturday in September, specifically September 10th-12th, 2021 in Stowe, Vermont. We have all experienced a long dry spell, as a result of the Covid Virus and we hope that it will be behind us as we enjoy the Fall Motoring Season.

Welcome to the 30th British Invasion Weekend in Stowe Vermont! “The Tradition Continues.”

Over the past 30 years the British Invasion has grown to become the largest annual All British Motorcar Show and British Lifestyle Event in the Eastern United States, annually attracting between 600 & 650 British Motorcars to the scenic mountain village of Stowe Vermont. For many, the annual pilgrimage to Stowe is the highlight of their motoring experience for the year. The allure of the mountains, the back roads, and onset of the Fall Harvest Season adds to the sound of British motors resonating off of the pine trees.

This event is your event, and with your participation and support and by sharing your experiences with friends and fellow enthusiasts, we have continued to grow the British Invasion from year to year. This year we honor “Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Austin-Healey & Singer” as our featured marques. 2021 also marks the twentieth year of Participation of the Singer Owners Club and will be commemorated with their own unique and memorable Car Club Display. Special welcome to the Rolls-Royce Owners Club / Bentley Drivers Club who have chosen to join this year’s celebration with their Special, “Mini Meet.”

We have updated our registration forms to allow you to fill in the forms on our website, print and mail or email an attachment and save a copy of the completed form for your records. My daughter, Ali, has put in long hours and lots of creativity to bring to you a complete New British Invasion Website.

This year we will also present turn by turn direction for the “Northeast Kingdom/Cover Bridge Tour”, for those wishing to tour on their own schedule. Stowe Vibrancy will host the Friday evening Street Party in downtown Stowe with live entertainment. We will host a Saturday evening dinner and our very own “Queen” will host the Ladies Hat Competition.

We would welcome new team members who could help with Field Set-Up and even Ballot Counting to name a couple of areas.

We Thank You for the past thirty years of the British Invasion and your participation which has helped to bring enjoyment to so many. We thank our Vendors for enriching the weekend celebration and the Town of Stowe and the Stowe Area Association for hosting us.
We wish you many miles of carefree and enjoyable motoring in your British Classic.

- Mike Gaetano

As Mike says, NASOC and The Singer Sensation in Stowe celebrate 20 years of participation with the British Invasion and we hope to mount the originally intended "George Singer's Car-nival" display. The idea with this display was to have attending members participate in the building and support of some of the display material. This makes it critical that we know who is attending and who wishes to participate!

As I write this the Canada/USA border is still closed and some Canadian provinces are still under varying lock-down restrictions. COVID has not gone away and new variants mean we need to keep on our guard, but trends indicate that with vaccination and socially responsible behavior, we may well be in a position by the fall to enjoy our event. We are keeping an optimistic outlook!

So, if you are planning to attend, please PM me. we will update this thread as information becomes available. This is a special occasion for both the British Invasion and North American Singer Owners.

Find out more about the event and pre-register at the new version of the website:

News has broken that the US border will continue to remain closed through September:

Sadly this means the Canadian contingent will not be able to attend the Invasion, but we hope our US members will on our behalf.

Stay safe everyone!

The 30th Anniversary British Invasion has come and gone and Singers were on the field!

Many thanks to Pat and Dee Desmond, with boys Mike and Chris, along with Dave and Ellen Norton, for showing their Singers on the field. Offering support were Joe Tarta and the Tarta clan, but Joe did not bring his car this year.

Both Dave and Pat took home class awards and Pat even met four new potential members for the club.

Even Marilyn made an appearance!

Let's hope the borders will be open again soon so the entire team can regroup and celebrate at the next edition in September 2022!
