I'm sure this is happened to others.... I believe my carb may be ready for refreshing and am looking for parts or rebuild material should I or my mechanic tackle the job. I haven't found a site with a rebuild kit, so, I'm looking to members to tell me if they know where I can find what I'll need. I'm still getting some fouling of the plugs though the motor as a lean as I dare. Are there any parts shared by other carb models?
My next task will be tackling the "Flintstone" brakes and I'm sure I'll be chasing out of stock parts for that, so if any suggestion on sites for that will be appreciated.

what are the Solex carbs ? the 30FAI from the 4AD, shared the jets with the original VW bug, the 40HP model of the early 1960's

You can find a lot of them on the uk site from ebay, also new old stock or perfect working types.
I bought 2 used ones for parts, and a gasket set. to repair mine.
