Registration number search.

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Registration number search.

Post by Dylan34 »

Am trying to find the original registration for my 1934 Singer 9 sports. The only original photo I have shows the reg OY - - - - ?
Does anyone know how to or who could enhance this photo to show the reg in detail ?

OY seems plausible; issued by Croydon between 1931 and 1934, 1933 numbers ran from 4629 to 7571, and 1934 from 7972 to 9999. Alternative letters like OU (Southampton 1928-31) and OV (Birmingham 1931-32 only) don't fit the time-line. Try altering the contrast on your scan to see if the number becomes more legible.
