Those wheels were in pristine condition and I can't believe they are 90 years old. There was no sign of the original green paint and I suspect that the original wheels were replaced in the 1960's before the car was exported to America. The tyres too were like new but who can trust 60 year old rubber? Sadly they went to the scrap yard and were replaced with some very expensive new ones.

The car was in a very hot, dry climate for many years so they wouldn't see much rust. The tires on the other hand, would not have appreciated the hot sun.
The car is looking great.

Seat are back from the upholsterer!
Just waiting for the foam to replace the original bladders.

My daughter and her partner visited yesterday to replace the antifreeze in the’9’. Whilst they were here they took some photos of progress on the 1 1/2 and I can’t resist posting them here. But first - the ‘before’ photo:

Looking really good Brian. I love this stage in a rebuild when most of the grubby, destructive stuff is done and its all about creating the final vehicle and every day is closer to getting her on the road.
