Parcel man arrived with fuel pump kit..

Just giving the tank a quick inspection & clean.

Still waiting on sheet metal..tried to fob off water damaged old stock..don’t mind waiting another week.

Door hinge pins arrived

Finally found a upholstery person...waiting on quote.

Have decided to aniline dye & marine gross varnish door panels instead of more vinyl..give it a point of difference..

Decided to do 1 piece for door skin hem.

New balls and pins great for door hinges..springs a little longer.

Gave the headlights a polish

Door measurements in pictures for future restores

Will have to cut fiberglass for traffickers...anybody measurement area please.

In this plate, mounted on the inside, you can see the mounting place from the trafficators.
In the hole at the right side from the picture, a mounting plate for the trafficators has to be placed.
One hole on the top and bottom is all to mount it

We have nothing..

Could you please give us some measurements.

We cut the door skin out by hand metal scissors..

Zinc is .7 thick.

Will double check fit before bending.

Allowed 16mm for hem around sides & 40mm on top

Will trim corners & a fix middle timber in door.

Cut hinge area.

Finally will get upholstery quote soon...what a drama..

Tried aniline dye with turps..1 to 16...medium

Will give it a sand & another coat..

Inside you have a part of wood in the corner, I should advise to make a metal plate instead for the strength, and easy mounting for the trafficators

Much appreciated..will do metal plate.

Still on these bloody doors..

We installed turnbuckel to straighten with dads old boat stuff.

We realized when the internal plywood was removed..the purpose was to try and straighten door..

Now to fix the hinge area to body..been screwed so many times..looks like pin cushion.

Will put steel plate behind timber frame & bolt hinge..

Another day another challenge..

Also built glovebox..

Gave the hubcap a touch up...missing only 1 if somebody has a spare please.

Installed old dash until we find out all correct gauges..

Anybody got any pictures of hinges attached to car pillar..just wanted to check hinge placement location.

Forgot your picture...great work..wish I had the tools to build door..

All good for measurements...our hinges look a little different to yours..

We decided to plate one side of the door and bolt doors..screws have damaged timber over the years..

Will clean all hinge areas and fingers crossed it lines up better..
