Hi Pre-Warriors,
As mentioned in other posts, we intended to produce a batch of cylinder head gaskets in solid copper, a project that others had also pursued.
Well ours are now ready, but we decided to make up ten sets of gasket kits which include the head gasket, the exhaust manifold gasket and the manifold to down-pipe gasket. All in solid copper and of excellent quality. Thickness is the same as an original compressed copper/asbestos gasket.
If anyone is interested, please PM me to make arrangements. Price is $150.00CAD per set, plus post and packing from Canada.

Re: SOLID COPPER GASKET SETS...
Hi David
Apologies to all for that oversight. These fit the 972cc Nine engine, 1933 to 1937.
I don't have the figure at hand for exact thickness but they were designed to match the thickness of a compressed original copper/asbestos gasket so the compression ratio will remain the same.
Hope that helps....

Re: SOLID COPPER GASKET SETS...
HI Phillip,
Ahhh, Thank You for having those made!
Put me down for three sets, please. As post expenses are fast becoming preposterous, I shall pay and await an opportunity for us to be in the same place at the same time.
What other little bits and bobs do you have hiding in your cabinet, Dr Caligari?
Did you finally have new shallow-headed bolts made for the rear hubs?
And weren't there a few chrome gauge bezels?
And some hardened rear end bits?
Seems to me I need to sign over my first born....
I know what you might use for hunting around for them in the cellar!
Cheers

Re: SOLID COPPER GASKET SETS...
I know there are some old people who read this forum but even my mother who is 99 years old does not remember 'The Cabinet of Dr Caligari' - a film released in 1920! I not sure a film that "presents us with a dark and twisted world with distorted shapes and angles" is an appropriate reference for Singers.
By the way, I still have some solid copper head gaskets 1.5mm thick if anyone wants one. They only become distorted when annealed. The price is £50. Brian

Hey David,
You were on my list for a PM on this also...so I shall put three aside for you.
Yes, the rear hub nuts for the 36/37 models are available, as are the upgraded halfshafts.
I asked a company to make up a batch of Speedo and Tach bezels and I can put you in touch with them, or look up the original thread here.
North of the 49th the movie would have been most likely called The Cabinet of Dr Calgary...so with much more snow in evidence!

Re: SOLID COPPER GASKET SETS...
Hello again, Brian, Hi Phillip,
Phillip, thanks for the smile! I hadn't read your post or would have asked you about this when we spoke over the weekend. As you have such an encyclopedic background with film, had you heard of that wonderful title 'ere this?
Brian --grateful to think that I'm older than dirt, thank you. I learned of that bizarre movie when taking a course in 20th century French literature with a delightful professor many years ago. If you have a chance to see it, and are inclined to the bizarre, it might be best to wait until things 'normalize'. I suspect viewing that film under lockdown might prove mind-altering, and perhaps not in a good way.
Cheers,
David
