Fan belts?

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Fan belts?

Post by Danish »

I have made steady progress this month to revive my car but I need to fit a replacement fan belt. I understand a belt from a Ford 105e may do the job. Can anyone advise on spec. or an equivalent replacement? Happy New Year.

V-belts are in different models, for example the "A" or "B" shape, and together with the length, it is the belt for your car.
I am using a lot of belts on an industrial way, but when you have the old one, go to the Gates website, and look which one you need.

I had no guidance regarding the belt for my Light Six so I took a rough measurement and found the right one by trial and error. I think I bought three on line before I found the correct fit, but they are relatively cheap so it didn't break the bank!
