I realize that the factory likely never offered a heater for the 4ad
Has anyone overcome this problem? I am not talking about winter use, rather just a bit of heat on the legs for those cool fall evenings
Appreciate your thoughts/ideas

Re: 4ad heater? Solutions?
There are a number of aftermarket options used by the hot rodder community, several of which have a nice period feel to them. Also, I've seen, but do not recall on which site, reproductions made in the UK of the aftermarket Smiths heaters used in pre and post war cars. Most I've seen use hot engine coolant to heat, but some are electric. Start by googling "small car heater" or "small car heater retro", then view images.
Speedwaymotors.com for example has a fairly small and retro looking unit that's about $150.

I seem to recall reading somewhere in the pile of Roadster stuff I have that a heater might have been offered later in production, although I might have read this in a dealer's brochure, so would have been aftermarket. I have some Canadian dealer brochures somewhere.
It would most likely be this one:

I've seen two 4AD's in Canada fitted with this heater.
