What type of paint?

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

With all the restrictions on auto paint, what type of paint are you using for 30s cars?

Cellulose every time. Personally I think modern paints give too high a hard gloss finish for our era cars - though they are easier to keep clean!

I have sprayed cellulose and enamel and both go on well. On my current project I'm brush painting with coach enamel from Craftmaster which I will temper with a cutting paste when fully hard. The main reason for the brush experiment is the mess caused by spraying in a space that is too small for me, the rather large car and the compressor! With a decent spray gun and the right premises cellulose is the best way to go. There is some very good advice on technique on the net.
