Singer Junior Project

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Typical as removed

Mostly leather with hessian backing, sides were vinyl. Door cards were leather with leather flaps over hole for a pocket in the door.

The coconut fiber is from an old innerspring mattress. The insertion tool that can also be used with foam, is made from sheet metal with two bends and sprayed with silicon lubricant. An appropriate sewing machine MUST be used

Hi
I have now got three magnetos with enough bits to try for an assembly.
Any hints about the internal gearing setup, before I bumble on?

Hi
I just found this nice brass hose clamp. It is a Sherman. What would have been original on the Singer Junior 1930?

Sorry I just saw this question. I'll have a look later today. Just off out in the Coupe for Drive it Day. She hasn't run throughout lockdown so fingers crossed...

Hello David, Unfortunately I can't see much in that area but I hope this early picture will give you the odd clue. I don't remember it being connected to the sump but it was a while ago so I could be wrong.

It went really well thank you David - ELA ran perfectly and gave me a lot of confidence that I have successfully removed all the gunk from the fuel tank!

I'm having trouble posting but hopefully third time lucky: here is a picture of the lower part of the steering box that might help.

Hi Colin
Great that the run went well.
Thanks for the photo, that's the bits in trying to get joined, any idea what the bushing between the bolt and the casting is made of?
Regards
David

I crawled under the car and got this picture which i think is the part you need. It looks like bronze to me.
