Thanks Mike
I gave him a call, he said he just sold one, and is looking for another.
Good tip!
I did not get a reply regarding the firewall badge.

Yes he sold one to me. It arrived today. If you are desperate let me know. I also did not get a reply after I sent the chassis number and supporting documents. I guess it takes time.

Hi
I have cleaned up the rust pile of what I think is the Singer Junior throw out bearing.
Should it rotate?
Limited wear marks on the fingers or face so I am not sure about this.

Re: Singer Junior Project
Hello David,
On the head gasket there are three types I think with the differences being around the 'fingers' extending over the timing chain case. Although It was a while ago I think I used sealant for that part and cut the fingers off as I couldn't get the correct gasket for my engine. I think everything else is the same.
On the bearing I'm afraid I don't know.

Thanks Colin
That makes sense about the "fingers" at the front with the different widths of the front aluminium housings.

Yes it turns with encouragement.

They always say that if it doesn't work first time you just need a bigger hammer (or wrench!).

Hi
The two photos show clutch pedal out and clutch peddle in.
Can someone post a photo looking down on a singer Junior clutch throw out bearing that works please.

David

By the look of that I might not have the correct throw out bearing.
Today I thought I had a big win by finding another the same that moves freely!

Re: Singer Junior Project
Hi I found another (correct) throw out bearing. It needed new bearings and dressing in the lathe. Bolted the gearbox up to the engine and checked the clutch out
Re: Singer Junior Project
That looks a whole lot better David!
