Hi Colin
You'd be most welcome, mate, it's my pleasure to help.
When I've got a moment I'll try to dismantle the mechanism and post photos so you can see the parts clearly.
BTW, I think I tagged the LHD gearbox incorrectly. I recall it came from a Nine van.
Cheers
Phillip

Hi Colin,

I took off the clutch release assembly and cleaned it up so it is easier to see.

Here are two photos; one showing it disassembled in order and one of it assembled in order.

Obviously the release fork goes between the big washer and the rounded nut. The nut is tapped for the 5/16" BSF threaded rod and the outer hex fits a 7/16" BSF spanner.

This design looks the same as the one that was fitted to both my A Series and 4A Series Roadsters. I can't recall if it was the same on my 4AD-T but I'm betting it was very close.

Hope that helps...

That is brilliant Phillip thanks. I have most of the right parts plus I have a compression spring on order. It looks as if a dome nut drilled through would work for the missing half round nut.

Hey Colin,

Glad I could be of assistance. If there is anything else I can help with, by all means reach out...

Good luck with getting all back together.

Cheers,
Phillip

Although I am still awaiting delivery of the compression spring I took her out for a run yesterday and was pleased to find that the gearbox was fine. She still jumps out of second when not under load but I can live with that and the other two are fine. I have adjusted the clutch linkage and it may be that the previous reluctance to go into gear I felt was the clutch not disengaging fully.
