The Modern Rexine Story
The Modern Rexine Story
It has been around for a while and I apologise for the quality but some may find it interesting as they tackle roof coverings...I apologise for page order, I couldnt get it right...
Re: The Modern Rexine Story
Looks fascinating Darcy. I'm having a job reading it on the screen so I will print the pictures to see if that helps. I get the sense though that Rexine may again be available?
The Modern Rexine Story
I did a search on the article and found this - http://www.vintagebentleys.com/services ... -magazine/ It should be much easier to read, and yes it would seem it is available- plus check out the gallery on the site, one cannot help but be impressed.
Re: The Modern Rexine Story
Yes! This is the great story printed in Octane magazine, one of my favourite mags, and it's an incredible story of a lost art brought back to life.

Re: The Modern Rexine Story
The story told in the pages of this article is one of many reasons I love the Brits. The experiences I've had while in the UK (where my father lived the last 30 years of his life and where my grandmum was born) have demonstrated beyond a shadow of a doubt that they All are daft about their automobiles. This was confirmed by the unending array of vehicles my father owned over the years, from the 1947 Triumph Roadster to a Rover TC 3500, by way of a couple of Alvis TD21s.
Automobiles are family members --on occasion treated better than offspring-- and are passed down through the generations. It's almost enough to make you want to have children.
Phillip thanks so much for posting this! You know first hand why this interests me: BMX 7.

Re: The Modern Rexine Story
The resurrection of this machine is certainly a story of commitment, determination and craftsmanship to be sure...oh...and luck!
In the end, the business model probably made sense because this Rexine will be used most often on vintage Bentleys, whose value, of course, makes restoring and operating this incredible machine viable.
I would love would see it in action. Wonder if they do tours?
Here it is in action actually:
