Engine trouble

All,

Having some issues with '54 4AD. The previous owner did a sloppy job on the engine rebuild (that's being polite). Water pump is leaking, getting oil in the cylinders, and overall just a poor job.

I'm trying to avoid tearing down the whole engine, but may need too.

Regardless, any have good sources to get gaskets and if possible rings and bearings? I don't expect much in the way of aftermarket or even NOS. How are folks handling things these days?
