The door latches that came with my car/s are clearly not original. Through the local club I have access to the two attached options, both Singer and both will work, but.
My question is if I use the option with the attached lever arm, how does this work with the internal door trim? Can someone post a photo, most likely from a 30s sedan.
The body on these cars were assembled in Australia from local supplies, so I have considerable licence in determing what might have been "original"

Re: '34 door latch
Darcy,
The second one should be as close to correct, although you don't show what's at the opposite end of the bar where the inside door handle would appear . I don't see the one with the lever arm working, as the entire mechanism should remain under the door upholstery panel. If neither work, I would just go with the single handle on the outside of the door. Frankly, I don't think I have ever used the interior door handle. I always reach outside the door. It just seems easier.
