Hello, I have a '56 4AD. My father bought the car at a used car lot in Miami in 1960. Anyway, it sat for awhile as I was installing a new wiring harness and now the engine is frozen. The car is currently in Tallahassee, Fla. Can anybody recommend a machine shop anywhere is the southeast part of the country that would be familiar with Singers?

Pour some PB Blaster into the cylinders. Wait a day, put it in high gear and rock it back and forth. If it isn't too badly frozen it will break loose. Mine sat since 1973 with 2 cylinders stuck at 3&9 o'clock . I had to disassemble it. It did work on a 1941 Dodge that had sat for many years and a 1917 and 1919 REO that sat in Nebraska till the bodies rotted off.
Good luck, Don
