After fitting the harness and then having to leave for a while we are Slowly getting back into the car, physically, leg is bending well and now allows bending without needing tranquillisers!

After several scares we now have headlights, side lights L and R indicators working, fuel pump ticks away. It always helps if you make sure the test globes in the circuit work. Tomorrow the horns and drive light circuit.

Oh, it also helps if you go back and validate earth circuits that you so carefully noted on the wiring circuit you so carefully drew.

Slow but steady progress.

It is still taking me far longer than I would like but there has been progress:
. Tops for downdraft SUs fashioned after solex, I also had to make the attachment plate
. Choke cable attached as is advance retard, again a number of parts made.
. One idle day I made the blocks for the tool deck - I have all tools just missing some tool springs per attached ie two of clip y, I only have 1.

Radiator hoses on my bench just need to cut to size. Need to work out return spring for the accelerator and clutch.

Then fuel line connection to pump and I feel starting getting to be a possibility.

Love the details ! Will keep a look out for another "clip Y".
My car's progressing OK except for problems with the bonnet spray. Whether it was our hot weather or not I don't know, but I've flatted off and hope to try top coat again this morning. Considering the bonnet was fabricated from 2 + a lot of new metal it is reasonable! Since I'm going for a finish that won't be a worry on long distance continental runs it's not quite the disaster it would have been if concours was in mind.

Love the down-draught SU's D'Arcy.

The tool deck is looking really good!
