well I for one, am happy that the link to the Singer site worked . That page they linked to no longer exists but my 301 Redirect (that's geek talk for I did something) sent that link to the correct new page. Quite happy.

As to the car, most of the comments are not very nice but you have to remember for most American's if it does not have a V8 and look like a 60's Mustang, it must not be a nice car...I may be over exaggerating here but you can't argue with some of the comments. I drove a single carb 4AD many times and the power difference between that and a twin-carb 4AD were night and day. The brakes were also mentioned and they are not power brakes but when properly adjusted the hydro-mechanical brakes work very well, adjusting them correctly requires lots of patience. Car seats have been re-done and are wrong patterns but other than that, looks like a complete car and great project. IF note BIG IF it has the right engine, etc. and none of that is mentioned.

If you look at the pic of the brass plate, and based on that number I believe its a 1952, not a 53. I messaged him briefly on FB and talked about the car some. Forgot to ask him if he had it running, but did fine out there's NO title to the car. Something about his son getting the car when he bought some property. Like the container was just left there ?

depending on the state the no title part is not a problem, just a bill of sale is needed. Some states the title will be a problem, that will require some research.

I didn't realize that, I always thought it was a big issue and it would also lower the for sale cost by a good amount. I had the same issue with my car, my dad's estate lost the title or he never had it to begin with. But I did the Vermont trick with registration, and than registered and titled it in my home state of VA. So I'm all set now. But back to my one question,this car we're talking about above isn't $20,000 USD a bit much for a 52 4AD without a clear title, and 140,000 miles (wow) ?

personally, I think its double what its worth and if it has the wrong engine even more than that. It does look complete though, so a good candidate for restoration again, assuming right engine.

But I have been out of the 4AD world for 15 years, so don't listen to me.
