Thackeray washers

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Thackeray washers

Post by davida »

Does anyone know of a source of thackeray washers ?
These are used on the brake anchor bolts on the 1935 onward Le Mans brakes [with the pressed steel brake shoes].
A different size is also used on the 1936 -38 Bantam brakes and the 10hp brakes.

Cheers

Hi David,
Thanks for your reply; unfortunately the Thackeray washers I have are much smaller - mostly 5/16" id. Sorry to have built your hopes up. All the best in your search Bill
