Several places to get these, the New Zealand club has absolutely perfect mascots in stainless steel, they just look PERFECT. Trevor also has them and not sure about the badge.ggvette wrote: Singer badge and mascot
Unfortunately, good luck on those, the hubcaps are to the best of my knowledge unique to Singer, there are hubcaps that will fit of course.ggvette wrote: hubcaps
Both side(bonnet) louver grilles
Front/Rear bumpers are avalaible from Kipp Motors but giving up your first male born and both of your legs and both arms would be cheaper than what he wants for them. I seriously believe you can buy MG TD ones, have the wrong bolt holes welded and re-chromed for less than Kipp will be. MG TD bumpers are the right length but have holes in the wrong places and are missing the starting handle hole, they also have a slightly wrong curvature but no one but a only Singer die-hard will notice that. The windshield hold down wingnut MOSS or Victoria or any other British specialty place will have it.ggvette wrote: Front bumper

Coker tires has several of them in the right size.ggvette wrote: 16 inch tires
4AD did NOT have heaters, there were quite a few heaters in that era that were fitted but there was no heater designed for the car. There are some you can get that will fit under the dash and give some warm air from the radiator hose, there was even one kind that you fed fuel from the gas tank and lit up the burner to give off heat (Thank fully you can't buy that one anymore)ggvette wrote: Heater assy.

Grant,
Welcome to the wonderful world of Singers!
In addition to Mikes leads, I can also offer up a couple more:
As for other bits 'n pieces, you can try the NASOC parts supplier Dave Green alpdavegre@msn.com
Mr. Bill Haverly spullen3@aol.com is a long time Roadster fan as well as the proprietor of the only known Singer SMX. Bill specialises in Roadster parts (new and previously enjoyed). He does respond to e-mails and although the answer may not be instantaneous, he is very knowledgeable and gives good information. With the serial number of your car he could likely give you the Singer Works information on it when it left the factory!
Paul Barber in Georgia has a collection of Singers from whole to bits. They are all used and may not be in pristine condition. You can contact him by e-mail at Mara204@aol.com
SINGER BADGE: Bill has a nice repro badge.
MASCOT: Bill also has a mascot, although you would have to clean it up and get it chromed. **
HUBCAPS: You can check with Phillip Avis phillip.avis@aircanada.ca He does not have hubcaps, but knows another car make that had the same. I believe that they were one of the Healey makes.
LOUVRER GRILLS: Bill did have a louver set that does make a very good representation of the actual thing. **
I am not sure if you are a member, but if so then you can also contact Gene Abbondelo eabb@loc.gov who is the club librarian. He should have a bunch of literature on the 4AD that may help you in your restoration.
Good luck and have fun!
Paul
** Depending on what level finishing that you want, I have some of these bits. I could take some photos of them and send them to you for your perusal.

Hi,
I manufactured new side grilles myself. It did require manufacturing a couple of special tools but they turned out just perfect. I used stainless steel as the material, that way i avoided the need to chrome them. Polished stainless steel is just like chrome, only slightly more yellow. Some pictures of the side grille manufacturing can be found here:
http://www.guru-group.fi/kabu/singer/si ... index.html
I have also made a new radiator surround from stainless steel. That still needs to be grinded and polished but I can already say that it is going be just like the real thing. Some pictures here:
http://www.guru-group.fi/kabu/singer/ra ... index.html
The next similar project will be manufacturing the radiator grille, but that it definately going to be a lot easier than the side grilles or the radiator surround.
I am also going to need hubcaps and propably bumpers as well. I have understood that Trevor Cornelius has those. I actuallu inquired those from Trevor just recently but havent received an answer yet.

In some sense there is no point fabricating so many parts myself because some of those parts are available. However after restoring a couple of cars already i have found out the main point in this hobby for me is the fact that i can work with my handsa dn become better at that. By doing different things and trying different fabrication methods and tools you learn things and with practise and time you can see yourself becoming more skilled, achieving better results and being able to make more demanding projects or fabrication work. Well, I guess it's like playing golf or something, the challenge is at becoming better on what you do
The main point is the journey, when the project will be finished is almost irrelevant. Of course the Singer will be ready, eventually
