Sound proofing

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Sound proofing

Post by ColinB »

I couldn't find this on a search so I thought I would start a new topic. ELA being a coupe contains a lot of noise within the cabin largely, it seems, from the back axle and exhaust. Is there any advice on the forum about the best materials for soundproofing?

I've had good luck with Dynomat on various LBCs. Fairly thin an unobtrusive under carpets and pretty easy to cut to shape. However super sticky and somewhat difficult to remove once it's been on awhile.

Thanks Steve, that is helpful. I won't need to remove any material once it is applied so I'll see if I can get Dynomat in the UK.
