4ad steering wheel centercap REMOVAL

I want to remove the steering wheel but am having difficulty removing the large center

Still unsure on how to proceed
I do not want to break the cap.Any ideas?

it just unscrews.
I would use a strap wrench so as to not damage the outside and just unscrew it. The part has a bolt welded to it in the middle and that is what screws into a bracket in the column. A strap wrench will get it off if it is really tight, normally you can just undo it with your hand.
