Re: New Post-War Radiator Badges...
Don't buy it! It is not a metal badge. Down below in the description it is mentioned that it is a decal (that is, something like a sticker, if I am not wrong). The price is nothing but "atrocious" for a sticker!!
Re: New Post-War Radiator Badges...
Can you confirm with proof?
The photos show a metal badge with screw fixings, even including the measurement for the spacing between the lugs!
Could the confusion be in the translation and interpretation since this comes from India?
We certainly don't want to mislead people!
Thanks for the 'heads-up'.

Re: New Post-War Radiator Badges...
When I searched for "Singer badge" in ebay UK under Vehicle Parts & Accessories, I could see 7 listings of the same or identical product, all adverised by sellers from India, for prices ranging from £20 to 40 with varying postal charges including free postage. In two listings they have indicated that the material as Plastic or Steel under different sections in Description. In one listing the material is indicated as Decal and in another, the material is not specified.
One possibility is that they are using a laser cut steel base on which the plastic sticker is set (decal).
My advice to anyone interested in the product is to first confirm with the seller the details of the badge before bidding.

Paul Bouchard bought one and has it in hand. It is metal with a painted in-fill. He'll post photos and details in due course.
He notes the quality as 'reasonable'...

I can say the same, but I prefer the original
I have both now, for two cars, and I know which one I put on the car i want to keep.

If it is metal with embossed lettering, etc., then it surely is reasonably priced. Original badges seldom appear in ebay and usually end up with high bids.Phillip wrote:Paul Bouchard bought one and has it in hand. It is metal with a painted in-fill. He'll post photos and details in due course.

I "raised a flag" as I feel that ebay sellers from Asian countries sometimes lack the professionalism of their western counterparts. I did not want our fellow Singer owners to get a raw deal, that was why I tried to read the fine print in the ad.
I had been watching this ad for quite sometime but was under the impression that it is a sticker decal, thanks for enlightening me.
