nine sports front spring bushes

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

nine sports front spring bushes

Post by Blue3 »

Hi,

After cutting the bolts of the 34 nine sports front leaf spring mounts we discovered the bushes are non existent. Does anyone know what hey are and where we get them from? Are they the same as say early Landover?

Thanks

Simon,
They are available through Hardwicks in the UK.

FYI, here is a tutorial on replacement. http://silentblocbushings.blogspot.com/

The silentblocs we have used on my grandson's '34 four seater 9 came are from an Austin A30/40 Farina. (You'll need to double check the size is right for your car) They are just 1/16" short on outside length and needed one washer to bring the inner length to fit tightly into the dumb irons. They seem to be readily available and so are usually cheap!
