Has any one found a suitable modern replacement for the original bypass filter which is no longer available.
Bypass filters are being offered for a number of modern car makes but I suspect it would be a custom job for a Singer

Bypass oil filter for 1074 cc engine
Re: Bypass oil filter for 1074 cc engine
Hey Davida,
For the one used on the 1074cc engine there is this option from Paul Beck Vintage Spares in the UK:
https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/produ ... tridge-zr1
Its a conversion for the Fram ZR-1.
The 1500cc engine is a different beast altogether...
Hope that helps...

Re: Bypass oil filter for 1074 cc engine
Hi Philip
I looked at that site and found that details are not given about the filter used inside the canister.
I am considering using something using 1/4 inch BSP threads and the filter mounted on the firewall/bulkhead so that one does not have to dive down to the starter and spill oil while disconnecting a filter.
Best wishes
David
