Hi - I'll try again after previous great help!
My nine sports with twin 30FAI Solex (SS engine from new) very noticeably increases idling revs when facing nose up by 1:10 or so. When dropping back into storage and I go over the change in slope so the back drops suddenly by 2' or so the revs increase and the normal burble of engine note becomes more constant.
The carbs are jetted as standard for the car. I wonder about the float level shim washers and what would have been original fitment ?
Any suggestions most welcome
Thanks
Neil

Re: 30 FAI tuning
Hi Neil,
My only suggestion is that when you are nose-up the fuel pump has to work a lot harder to fetch fuel from the back of the car. There may be air getting into the fuel line and the engine is running lean. Try a bit of transparent fuel hose to the carburetters and see if there are any bubbles.
