California Coupe

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

California Coupe

Post by Peter McKercher »

Any one familiar with this California car. Apparently the owner has passed away and it may be up for grabs. Looks like a beauty.

Hi Peter,

From this photograph the Singer shown appears to be an early Nine Coupe. Is that correct?

It has an unusual registration, as well. Interesting.

Please let us all know if you learn any more about it.

Cheers,

David

I have just been offered this car..It is indeed a 1933 Super Nine sports..I viewed it yesterday..Very nice condition although its been off the road since 2013. I would say on a scale of 1 to 10 I would give it a honest 8...Very clean..90% complete tool kit under the hood...Rubber bladder under the rear seat..My friend looked after the car for years at his British repair shop..Eight years ago he had the car in for new tires..brakes and a service..Personaly although i love it. Its not my style...But will assist in the sale..The story is the owners has just passed away and his Son is selling off his estate..This car can be purchase what i think is a good price $15,000 as is...Anyone interested private e mail me and i will send you better photos..The photo in the above link is the car my friends shop 8 years ago...PS Myself and the car are in Northern California

I'm pleased to report that a new home has been found for the Le Mans Coupe reported for sale earlier on this page. It will be remaining in the U.S. and in all likelihood we will be seeing it at Stowe in September 2018. This really is the deal of a lifetime. I'm very pleased for the new owner.
