Singers on the road!
Singer was on the road!
Thank you for your kind comments. Having just sold KV9795, a car that was in my family since 1972, believe it or not I do now have more garage space and will dig it out later this summer after some reorganisation! In the meantime, this film was made in 2007...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C6caYN7UVdg

Re: Singers on the road!
I checked in with 'Danish' (David) to see whether he had unearthed his handsome replica, or better still, gotten it on the road.
Happily, the response was affirmative.
Keep your eyes peeled, maties: I'd love to see the two of them speeding down a country lane, sending up a cloud of dust behind them as they go.

Retrieved from its tomb and ready for some light recommissioning over Winter.

Any chance you might get her out before season's end?
Cheers,
David

Singers on the road- next year
Thanks for all the kind comments. Too many jobs and not enough time for an outing this year. Just need to recommission and reassemble a pair of carbs with a manifold; reassemble and fit the gearbox, bell housing and clutch assembly; and to restore a set of andre hartfords. All parts present but just not on the car!
Re: Singers on the road!
Thank you, David, for posting another photo of your gorgeous Le Mans car.
It's so hope-inspiring to learn that it has things that have yet to be done, yet looks so wonderful even at this stage!
Crack on, then.
Best,
David

I have caught up with the (new) owner of the 1933 Sports Nine I spotted back in July, and we met yesterday at a VSCC lunchtime meeting - here it is with my Chamois:

Hi David,
Writing to learn how your will recommission the André Hartford shockers.
First, how much does your Singer Special weigh?
Second, is it fair to assume you already know what level of damping you need?
Either way, what level or specification of wooden insert will you use, or do you plan to make your own of another (preferable) material?
I ask because my Nine Sports could benefit from having the shocks redone as well.
Very Best,
David

David,
You should be able to get all the parts for a rebuild that you need here.
