Re: SOC National Rally 2017
Let me second Mike Rambour's comments and enthusiasm.
First, thanks for posting the great photos: the cars are wonderful, and in great variety; the house and setting aren't half bad either.
Second, maybe we could form an American contingent to go next year. Nancy and I would love to go, and possibly take Charlotte, if she (CRL157) were ready. Anyone else interested?
It's a goal to work toward.
Anyone else for trying to get to the annual SOC event in 2018?
Seeing the 1.5 litre cars (and the earlier cars) alone would be worth the price of entry.
Cheers, All

I agree, the 1.5's really caught my eye. I am game to try for 2018

Re: SOC National Rally 2017
Martyn Wray twisted my arm a couple of weeks ago. Lin and I will be there. FYI, it's the SOC's 70th anniversary and will be well worth celebrating.

If you were looking at the three rear-ends, they were, in fact, 2-litres, not 1½s! They were very, very nicemikeyr wrote:I agree, the 1.5's really caught my eye. I am game to try for 2018

Re: SOC National Rally 2017
Right you are. Lindsay and I had the pleasure of cruising down the M1 to Northampton in JP's 2 Litre GFO 146. What a lovely car to drive. Mike, if you had the opportunity to do the same, you would have your 1.5 restored in a nanosecond. It's quite freeway friendly. Lindsay with John P. below.

Info on it will be out shortly, but it's usually the 2nd week end June or thereabouts.
