Try Paul Beck in the UK. He has an assortment of sizes. https://www.vintagecarparts.co.uk/categ ... ing-piping

No problem. FYI, I made my own for my Nine Sports. You can buy any size cord you want plus a yard and a half of vinyl (your choice of colour) and sew it up. Probably about the same price as Paul Beck but unlimited flexibility.

Hi Peter .. that was my original idea also, but not having a sewing machine that would do the job, I asked the chap who did my seats to knock me some up, but he is having trouble getting the right size cord to sew the vinyl around,.. here in Australia, we have very limited supply houses that can supply the cord and they only hold the popular sizes, and 3/8" is not one of them ,.. if Paul Beck cannot supply, I have found an overseas supplier of the 3/8" cord, and will contact them after I hear from Paul .. Regards Stephen

Re: 3/8 inch fender welting
MG stuff is the wrong size, 1/4" vs. 3/8" (MG uses 1/4" and Singer uses 3/8")
But who besides a few Singer diehards will know that ?

Your Right Peter,.. Just came back from The All British Day here in South Australia, and after seeing a few British cars with a standard off the shelf 3/16' welting, with gaps between the fenders and body, I will stick to the 3/8",..., heres the url for the welt cord if anyone else needs it ...http://www.fabricguru.com/c-welt-cord ...........Regards Stephen
