MICHAEL;
I RECAST THE RUBBER IN THE LINKS OF MY 4AD. I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOURS LOOK LIKE ON A CAR THAT OLD BUT IF YOU STILL HAVE THE METAL I COULD RECAST THE RUBBER IN THEM FOR YOU.

Re: Shock absorber links
Hey Michael and Forrest,
The rear links should be the same on the A / 4A and 4AD. The front links on the A / 4A are the same design but longer. The 4AD, of course, had IFS and tube shocks in front.
FYI, Bill Haverly, Roadster guru and spares man for ASCO, had the links for my '47 A series re-bushed in the UK some years ago.
Hope that helps!

Re: Shock absorber links
Have any the distance (center to center) of the front and rear links for the 1948 Roadster ?
And the stud size ? Is it a tapper stud or straight stud ?
I think mine is not the original ones .

Shockfinders made a set for me back in 2006. (970) 513-8283
They will need accurate dimensions.

Re: Shock absorber links
I managed to measure the rear links: 4 3/8 inches from stud center to stud center. Mounting studs are on the same side
The studs are straight - non-tapered.
I will try to get the front ones measured, just have to get things uncovered from the winter cover! The front ones have one end pointing in and the other end pointing out.

Hi Paul
My rear link have the same lenght.
Would like to have the lenght for the front links.
I will have to modify links from a morris , can not find the correct ones.
Thanks

Re: Shock absorber links
Winter rolled back its chilly carpet for the day allowing me to get to the front of the car!
Ok, I measured the front link. Mine are 5.75 inches long and unlike the rear links one stud points outboard, the other inboard.
Hope that helps!
