More of Stowe:
Thanks to Dave Craig for sending in a few photos of the Brooklands Pit construction. It is amazing that Dave remembers any of this since during the construction operation I bonked Dave on the head with a piece of wood! I will still maintain that it was accidental.

PS - Mike, got your e-mail last night, and the fix works.

- All hands on deck! With the wind a-wailin' and dark clouds bearing in the "roof" panels were apt to blow away.

the one picture I was hoping to see here from Stowe 2007
I had a great time everyone and have already booked my vacation for next year so I can be there again.
I would like to thank Phil for the great display...we do get so many comments from other participants about how great we look as a club. I think this has to be my favourite picture from the weekend though...I knew the cars weren't made for "larger" people, but I would have thought the pits at the races would have been, nothing like perfect sign placement though

I don't know Mike, its not that hard to recognize me in the Whites... I'm the only guy that looks more like a big round snow man, then a mechnic that could fit under the car. Thank god, as we found out with Ed's car stuck in the middle of the street that I can at least lift the cars to work on them
My goal is to lose a crap load of that gut of mine before the next car show, who knows maybe I'll be able to fit into the Singer afterall...

Not at work and can finally write up my experiences...
OK so I can finally sit down and take some time to write my thoughts on Stowe (Yes Paul I had thoughts, not just disgusting sign language jokes to tell).
First off, for those that know me I'm a numbers guys, I track numbers on almost anything I come across...so here goes.
1590 - distance in Kilometers travelled to go to Stowe and back for the show.
4 - Number of days on the road or in Stowe, best 4 days of my year so far.
3 - Number of times the Sun came out on Saturday
1 - The time in the after that the sun came out and I lost a bet to Lidsay Never bet a woman on something as finiky as the weather, they have inside sources I'm sure
30 - Number of people that made it to the dinner (I think , never actually went around and made sure)
2 - Rescue missions I was involved in, one wheel fell off, one fuel pump needed replacing.
10 Number of Singers there this year YAHOOO we're not alone...
5 - number of times I got asked if it was the same company that made the sewwing machines...even after saying know I got to hear a wonderful story about this lady's sewwing machine that only needed oiling 4 times in
40 years....wish the cars were so reliable
85 - number of hours of fantastic conversations with great friends, this truly does become like family as Lynn says.
1 - New Grandchild, sadly I lost track of the number of photo's Lynn
Now that the numbers are done, for those that have made it this far. Thank you again for a fantastic weekend, I can't wait until next year
As I mentioned with Phil on Friday, we may not have been able to do the club tour of Stowe area...but we probably have more stories then any other car club at Stowe.
