External Oil Filter 1074cc 10HP engine

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

External Oil Filter 1074cc 10HP engine

Post by JEM1 »

Hi, I have a 1074cc 10 engine for my Le Mans special. I am adding a remote oil filter with spin on filter.

From the photo below is "A" the feed to the filter and is "B" the return back to sump ?

I am also trying to confirm thread type / size for each. Looks like "B" is 1/4" BSP ? Can anyone confirm?
The "A" seams to be a different sizes and pitch, "A" appears a smaller diameter and a courser thread. Does anyone know what thread "A" is ?

I am planning copper tube up to the filter assembly mounted on firewall (oops I just realised this may be a problem from engine movement, was the original non serviceable filter mounted off the engine?).

Thanks

I don't have that engine to check for you but you will need a short section of flex line if you mount on the firewall
