Oil Pressure release valve 4AD 1951

Post by wmcvey »

Somehow during the rebuild between two different locations the oil pressure release valve assembly has gone missing. Does anyone know of a easy cross reference to another oil pressure release valve assembly that works with a 1500cc 1951 singer motor. And if not, where I may locate an original ? Thanks,

what pressure release valve ? the motor free flows to the environment, unless I am thinking incorrectly.

The oil pressure release valve, that is located on the side of the block near the oil filter.

So any recommendation on an oil pressure release valve assembly replacement?

I know back when you were attempting to help me find my connecting rod, they were seized up inside of a block. So I was wondering if that block would have the oil pressure release valve assembly that you'd be willing to sell ?

Absolutely great, thank you.
Not sure how mine went missing.
I'm thinking the person tasked with breaking down the block for cleaning is the likely suspect.
I can't wait for it to arrive and move forward with final assembly. I'll make sure to take some pictures and share with the group.
