Short introduction

For now, I lumped all the pre-war cars together, I would LOVE for there to be enough demand to split it into groups (hint...hint, post here about your pre-war Singer)

Short introduction

Post by Will van Gemert »

I thought I’d shortly introduce myself first before throwing a question on the board as a new member.
My name is Will van Gemert from the Netherlands and together with my friend Johan de Swart I own a Singer Nine Lemans speed special model 1935 but actually build end of 1934. Back in 2007 we completed the Peking to Paris rally in his car and some of you might remember this. It will be of no surprise that we still own this lovely car and that we did I do not now how many miles in with since then.

I thought when I saw your name that it was significant. It was a great journey for you, I remember it well. A tremendous achievement.

One of my fellow Hereford Austin Seven Club members, Kip Waistell, has done this trip twice with Austin Sevens in 2007 with one other car and 2012 with his wife driving another A7. And not with any official rally organisation either, no support…. I have been serialising his trips in our club newsletter.
