Hey, Everyone,

Is it time to start planning for September's Stowe Show? This year the event is a week earlier than in years past, being the 15th-17th of the month. (This is great for those in the lower 48 because we can also attend The Boston Cup, as I was able to do for the first time last year: for the first five years the two events coincided. I know where my priorities lie, even though Charlotte, my '36 Nine Sports, had been invited to that show for each of those years)

I'm hoping we can have enough interest, and enough lead time, to reinstate the road rally before the show officially begins.

Look forward to hearing people's thoughts and plans.

Lori, are you going to be able to come this year?

Sending Smiles,

David

Will we be seeing yours on the road?

Hi Peter,

Thanks for asking.

Don't know if that's likely. The cylinder head is irreparably cracked, and heads for a '36 don't grow on trees....

but I'm working on it nonetheless.

David,
I'm not entirely familiar with the '36 engine, but does the head have the water pipe cast into it. This is a spare I have that doesnt work for my cars.

Hi Peter,

Thank you for the post to my thread about a cracked cylinder head, and for sending photographs.

The head you show is correct for my year of car and would be a great assistance in getting my car back on the road if I could secure it.

Have you examined the head for cracks? I've learned this is a common failing of the metallurgy of our dear cars.

Do you happen to know anything of its history? Please let me know what you would like for it.

Thanks again for jumping in. I appreciate it very much and hope very much that I might move forward in recommissioning my car.

Best Wishes,

David
