Bil,

You know that you will always be #1 in my book. Well, there will be a 1 in the number somewhere.

See you in Stowe! I hope that the drive from E. Virginia goes well and that Gene and his wart-pig-sty-wonder-dog-breath-of-fire (refering to the car vs his unfortunate "condition") can come too.

Paul

PS - Nice avitar!!

PPS - Sorry Gene

PPPS - I hope that the medication is helping

PPPPS - Gene, you are actually #1 but do NOT tell Bil

PPPPPS - Bil, please ignore the PPPPS for Gene, I only said that to make him happy.

Stowe registration

Post by GeneA »

Paul:

My Stowe registration is going in this weekend. Yes indeed, China Pig (my roadster, not my piggy bank) will be in attendance, its new Chinese red paint job lovingly applied by hand glistening in the Vermont sun (or rain as the case may be)

Haley and I are indeed making the trip up. We will be towing the roadsters most of the way, but for the last portion of the trip, hope to unload and drive the rest of the way up. I will, of course, be in the lead, my might 4AD engine (circlips intact) pulling me along at a breathtaking pace. Haley will of course be vainly trying to catch up in his vastly underpowered machine.

At Stowe, can I park next to Dog's Breath, your super-duper 10? It would make my paint job look good. Ah, the Haldol's kicking in....

I assume the Roadster will be a little slower than Gene's as it will be towing the Le Mans

Gene,

You can park next to "Wallace" (Gromit's pal) ONLY if you want to temporarily increase the value of your China Hog!

In the mean time, I will put your name on the "list" of potential parling spot neighbours. Actually, yours is the ONLY name on the list...

STOWE !!

Post by Bil »

Yes indeed, the little 4A will be a bit slower than the mighty '49 "1500". My hope is to run in the draft of Gene's car (as in NASCAR racing) and thereby get a little pull for the 1074 cc. through the Green Mountain state. :D

Just enjoying the draft (oh no... that's Paul's motto)

Ah, the power of the Ten...

Wait, the 9 has the 10 and the 10 will have a 9 and what if there was an 8 would it have a 7 or an 11? What if an 8 was parked at a 7/11 between 9 and 10.

My head hurts.

Stowe Attendance

Post by sophie »

My registration was mailed today. I will be trailering our girl, Sophie, to the event. Hope to see old and new faces there.
Wish us luck on the trip. This will be the longest trip so far.

Stowe is upon us once again and we're hoping for a repeat of last year's numbers. Lynn and Gene Mulder's car is complete and road tested so we hope to see it's debut. The other Gene (Abbondello) has resprayed his so you can no longer call it pretty in pink.

Prior to registration, we'll be repeating the pre show driving tour. It takes place Friday 2:00 to 4:00 PM. Leaving from the event field, the tour will travel over paved roads and finish at the Registrant's Reception under the show field tent in time for cocktails.

Stowe is a Go!

Post by Paul Bouchard »

FYI,

Mike has posted stowe information on the NASOC home page + we have a web site that will give the latest details on the 2006 East Coast National event (aka Stowe).

The site will have the latest info as well as the contact info for the British Invasion people (for you last-minute registers).

Remember to drop us an e-mail if you are planning to come to Stowe. A car is nice but not necessary to join in the fun. If you are bringing a car, e-mail us with some details (year, model, brief history) and we will put together a "data sheet" that can be displayed with your car.

So look it us and come on down!

Paul

Excuse me but I am on a warpath here...

Since I do not believe in censorship, I will not delete or edit Paul's post but WHY WAS A SEPARATE SITE NEEDED ?

What is wrong with this site ? Why could that info not be posted right here in this forum ?

I already have Stowe information on the home page and this forum seems to me the place to discuss what will come up in the blog, so why was a blog page dedicated to Stowe necessary ?

As I said, I am on warpath now, pissed, upset and F...n MAD ! All I want is a answer, why ?

Separate site on Stowe

Post by GeneA »

Mike:

I have to disagree with you on this. I think the website/blog for Stowe that Paul established is a good idea. The more ways of retrieving information about Singers and getting the word out about Singers, the better. I do not see a conflict with this site and the official site. I congratulate Paul on his efforts.

I'd also like to take this opportunity to publicly thank Paul for all the good efforts he's put into this club, from his great sense of humor to his deep and accurate knowledge of the marque. His contribution of prose and photos of his Super 10 restoration alone deserve a hearty thanks from all of us.

THANKS PAUL!
