Pretty much more than even a patriotic Canadian wants to know.

Canadiens are the inventors of Kayaks ? me thinks someone was drinking too much ice beer (had to look up what Ice Beer is).

Inuit's were not the inventors of kayaks, merely the kayak became the native inuit's favorite boat and from that you can deduce that the Inuit invented it but in reality Kayaks were around in the same basic form for several thousands years prior to the Inuit. The Inuit did however perfect the tuilik which allows the awesome and fun Eskimo roll, that I learned how to do on the Chattahoochee River 20+ years ago in a whitewater class.

I also learned to make sure there are no submerged rocks before you practice your roll, but that is a story for another day.
