Christmas came early the other day when the mail delivered another Golden Quill Award for NASOC NEWS.
As editor, designer and production person, it does make me especially proud. This is probably our 14th Golden Quill to date!

A big thank you to all our members for their patience and support as I am often challenged with getting the magazine out, but I never compromise on the quality, and it is always a pleasure to know that is appreciated!

First off, I see bonus codes for 888 casino by your data that you recently joined the forum...welcome! Second...Happy New Year!

Thank you also for your very kind words and positive feed-back. Much appreciated!

In spite of the frequent travel and challenging schedule my work life throws into the mix, I still really enjoy producing the magazine just for it's own sake. The awards are a very nice bonus, of course, and I hope reflect well on NASOC. I have tried to give the magazine a unique style that we call "a big magazine in miniature". In other words, to try to give it a professional style presentation you'd find on a news stand. Little things like full photo spreads and bleed-to-edge printing help create that look. I also like to deliver content and subject matter that you may not find in other club magazines to help create interest and variety. We are a small club and it's tough to stand out in the crowd.

As I am sure all the other Editors of the various Singer clubs will agree, producing a club magazine is a very time-consuming and sometimes frustrating experience, but the rewards and satisfaction certainly outweigh the negatives...even after the twenty-something years I have been doing it!

Cheers,
Phillip
Big congrats, Philip! And many more to come. What motivates you to continue the most? Is it these recongnitions or something else?
