4AD rocker arm adjuster screws & nuts

Post by BRG »

While I am not usually surprised at the threads on the Singer 4AD engine bolts & nuts( they are either BSF, Whitworth, or BA). I now have found that the rocker arm adjuster screw and nut are BSC (British Std Cycle). 5/16x26TPI. Anyone have a source for these???
Especially the adjuster screw. I have found the nuts.

I found they are the same as used on the 650 Triumph twin motorcycles, Unit construction, as used from the early 60's to mid 70's. The Triumph pieces typically either have a square top or allen key top and are somewhat longer than the singer pieces, but they are readily available from many sources, and not very expensive.
