4AD Rear wheel bearing lock washers

Post by fly4ad »

At disassembly of my rear axles, one of the bearing nut lock washers was missing, the other is damaged beyond serviceable. Does anyone have a suggestion as how I might obtain these or something similar that can be modified to work? If push comes to shove, I'll have to make them. I thought I would ask before I spend the time.

Thanks,

Fred

unfortunately I never found anything suitable and made mine, not too hard to do but not fun either.

Hope someone has a better idea for you...

Why not just use a plain flat washer with Red Loctite? If you do need to take it off again a little heat with a propane torch will suffice.
