Hi Louis,

As a matter of fact, I happen to have an extra pair of boot lid limiting straps (or scissors as I have been calling them). They are new fabricated by myself according the original pattern and dimensions and painted with grey primer, all ready for final paint and installing. Here is a picture of the parts:

Please send me a private message if you are interested on them.

The oval hole in the boot lid panel can be a bit tricky since the location ans size are dependent on the spare tire type and size. I can certainly draw a pattern with a dimension when I go to the garage next time but you may still need to adjust the hole o fit your spare tire.

Regards,
Pekka

Pekka: I replied to your email address that I am interested in the brackets.

I have a couple of questions about the webbing straps. I see on the LMS Lichfield site that the straps come in 3 different sizes, 24", 30"and 42", what length do I need? Do they come in sets of 2 one strap with the buckle and one without, or do I have to purchase 2 individual straps? I did get a hold of David Gregory and he does have the straps for a lot more money than Lichfield .

Thanks for all your help, I am finding it hard to locate a number of spares for my 4AD, but that is what makes it an interesting hobby when there were so few made and not many still around.

Hi,

I made a drawing for the opening in the boot lid inner panel. The drawing is in pdf format in A4 paper format where it fits full size (should fit also on the US B size paper). I have added the hole width and height dimensions into the drawing to help scaling the print to correct size if needed. The horizontal line in the drawing shows the inner panel top edge. Before covering the inner panel with vinyl, make sure that you try the panel in place with your spare wheel in place to see if you need to adjust the opening size to clear the spare wheel.

I have placed the file in my web site where and can be downloaded from the link below.
