4AD Transmission Cover

Post by Steve »

I finally got the mold done for the transmission cover for my 4AD. I had one part made to make sure it would work and if it could be installed. With some modification to the installation process, I think it worked out well. I used my old cover to make the mold so the finished part is a copy of mine with all the blemishes. Not sure what Singer Roadster models it will fit . I can have these made localy so if anyone is interested contact me directly at 1953singer@gmail.com for the details. I could not get a picture to download here so you will have to email me.

thanks

steve

**** EDIT BY MIKE **** added the pictures (by the way for future reference the pictures were too large to upload as there is a size limit)

This LOOKS GOOD ! should fit ALL 4AD's Click on the pictures for a larger image

Nice job Steve!

It will also fit the 4A, 4AB and 4AC ( not many of those about! ) as well as the 4AD.

I assume it is fibre-glass??

FYI, I have a sample of the earlier type as fitted to the A Series, 46 to 49, with the three speed box if anyone wants photos as a reference.

Cheers,
Phillip

The part is fiberglass, with a black gel-coat. The one in the picture is painted. If you have any other questions, let me know.

thanks

Sorry but I did not get the email you sent, give it a try again. Put Transmission Cover in the subject line. I will check the junk filter and see if it is in there.

thanks
