Singer 4AD Heater?

Post by Mark Thompson »

There is currently a 1954 4ADT for sale on E-Bay. It claims to have a "factory-installed" heater. This is the first I have ever heard of a 4AD with a heater. The photos on E-bay show the hoses routed through the engine compartment. I purchased a 1953 4ADT that appears to have heater hose connections at the thermostat housing and a return on the water pump inlet. I thought this was an aftermarket modification, but now I wonder. Does anybody know if any of these cars came from the factory with a heater installed? Any details about the installation? There are no remnants of a heater core, fan or switch in the pile of parts that came with the car I am working on. :?:

they did NOT have heaters from the factory, many dealers put the heaters on and I assume he thinks its factory but its not.
