1952 Singer 4AD - 1 Year Restoration
Hi,
Well, I feel like a proud parent. After a year's worth of blood, sweat, and money, she's ready for the road. I'm head to DMV this week, the Singer is road worthy. The car is completely back together and awaits her final painting (Currently Epoxy Primed). I've enclosed some pictures. Please feel free to comment. Have a great day!

Looks like you've done a wonderful job. Here's hoping we see you and the car at Stowe in 4 weeks.

Sweet sweet job . . . brings back fond memories of my first Singer trip to Stowe in a Hurricane without side curtains . . . and speaking of curtains, I've discovered a large coffee can with the chrome mounting hardware for side curtains that never got installed on my former roadster. Come to Stowe and I'll give them to you. . . .and if you dont need them then the offer stands for any roadster owner who may need them. Free at Stowe . . .back in the coffee can otherwise !!!

Patrick,
Bravo! Do bring your camera-person to Stowe as a reward!
Also, if you can, send me a few details on your car so that we can make up a "Car Info Sheet" for you to display at Stowe. Things that we usually put would be when you got the car, work done, trials/tribulations with your restoration, reactions from others, etc. Ed Ballam is planning the return of the "Ballam Run" for Friday, so if you are there and interested join in! As a member of the organizing team, I will post more info on the site (events area) with the details.
I think that there will be a lot of interesting cars at Stowe this year and can not wait to catch a glimpse of your new beauty!
Congrats

great to meet you Patrick
Patrick,
Although we didn't see the car, the photos you have over the duration of the restoration were great. The finished product is great. Hopefully see you next year at Stowe, my Dad's (Kenlis) Singer '54 4ADT should be painted by then

Hi Dave,
I saw in this old post that you have the Roadster side screen hardware. Do you still have them? Do you know any place where I can get the side screen frames with the 3 pegs and the brackets that seat the pegs. Trevor used to have them, unfortunately he is no more.
Regards,
Mohan

Hi Dave,
I finally managed to get a pair of worn out side curtains and the door sockets. But the pin fixture attached to the front part of the side screen frame (that sits in the windscreen pillar extension with a hole) are missing. By any chance do you still have them?

Re: 1952 Singer 4AD - 1 Year Restoration
I am closing to finishing my 1954 Roadster restoration. There is still work on the side curtains that are in poor condition. I do have all the mounting parts, the door sockets and peg holders are in good condition but the pegs are quite badly rusted and chrome is peeling out of them. I am planning to turn new pegs from solid stainless steel since I have the required tooling. I might be able to produce an extra set of pegs. Have not decided the timing yet but that will happen during this winter/spring since I'm hoping to get the car running next summer.
