Painting "The Beast", part deux

Post by GeneA »

I now have 4 coats of undercoat paint on The Beast. I plan on 4 top coats, wet sanding in between. The final color will be a darker red. All this will be in coach enamel and brushed on. The heat here in Wash. D.C. is killing me and the paint. 90-95 degrees F. day after day. Paint is drying too fast, even with a retarder in it. Dust, dirt, lint, insects, etc. are also problems. I'll have to cover the inside of my garage with plastic sheeting to minimize the contamination problem.

Here are 2 attachments of the undercoating

Looking good Gene. It seems we will have some new and some refreshed machines this year. Glad to see you got the hang of posting a picture.
